Hot Dip Galvanising (HDG) is a cost-effective control process that solves the majority of corrosion problems. HDG's widespread use is due to its ability to protect the substrate in two ways: firstly, as a barrier by providing a strongly-bonded zinc coating covering the steel surface, thus shielding it from environmental attack. Secondly, zinc offers cathodic protection which means that it sacrifices itself to protect the substrate if it gets damaged. Its low cost, ease of application, and long maintenance-free service make it the preferred method for protecting steel.
However, it is critical to note that GP Coils have limitations in certain environments. For instance, strong acids and alkalis, as well as sulphur-rich settings, can quickly corrode both the zinc and the steel. Therefore, before selecting any GP Coil, one must have an in-depth understanding of the end application and its environment

Superior Paint Adhesion - GP Coils with a true zero spangled surface and an RA factor ranging between 0.8 - 1.4 ensure superior paint adhesion and better finish, without any spangles or crushed spangles, thus lowering the cost of paint required.
Consistent Thickness - The state-of-the-art Tandem Cold Rolling Mill has installed an Automatic Gauge Control (AGC) mechanism which guarantees consistent and precise thickness across the material. This results in a higher yield of end products, as more parts can be obtained per kilogram of GP Coils.
Applications
